Istanbul has several university clusters on both the European and Asian sides. A residence that looks central on a city map may still require several transfers to your faculty, while a less central option may offer a simpler daily route. The most reliable starting point is therefore the campus you will attend most often.

1. Confirm the campus, not only the university

Some Istanbul universities teach different departments at different campuses. Write down the campus name and address from the university’s official website before comparing dormitories. If your programme includes hospital placements, laboratories or another teaching location, include those journeys too.

4. Read seasonal prices correctly

1. Save two to four options that match your campus and dates.
2. Compare the same room occupancy and the same academic-season basis.
3. Check what is included: meals, utilities, laundry, cleaning and internet can vary.
4. Review the dormitory’s house rules, eligibility and cancellation terms.
5. Use the listing’s current reservation status and ask for clarification where a field is pending verification.
